Academic collaborations

Much of today's hypotheses about inflammatory processes and immunopathologies in human disease come from in vitro experiments or animal models of disease. Unfortunately, the wealth of data from these model systems are rarely matched by solid observations in patients. To grasp the true nature of the human disease it is of importance to assess inflammatory phenotypes and structural pathologies as they are played out inside diseased patient tissues. .

Medetect participates in several academic collaborations where clinically relevant patient tissues are subjected to robust immune cell profiling to yield spatially resolved histomic data. As a methodological foundation for these collaborations Medetect uses its proprietary multiplex IHC methodology (AMLC; Additive Multiple Labelling Cytochemistry) combined with in-house developed software for advanced computerized image analysis and histomic data generation (CCV; Cell Community Viewer).
